About the Workshop
The use of layers in creative work gives the maker and the viewer windows for interpretation. This workshop will teach several processes for creating layering in your mixed-media artwork. You will learn ways to uniquely apply imagery in your art through transfer and lift techniques, mixing the imagery with other art media. You will learn to create unique substrates and art tags using these techniques. You can use this workshop to start a new work, to experiment and/or to add to pre-existing works. Be prepared to see your mind and your hands finding new ways to communicate visually!
All basic materials will be supplied. Registered participants will receive a list of optional materials and inspirations to bring.
