The WhitPrint Vision

Service to artists

Whiteaker Printmakers bridges the gap between artists and printmaking by providing studio space and equipment. UO- and LCC-trained printmakers can practice their art at the WhitPrint studio after they leave school. Professional artists and occasional printmakers can access specialized equipment at WhitPrint that they don’t have in their own studios.

Benefit to members

WhitPrint provides round-the-clock studio access to members, and membership dues go directly toward studio expenses. Charitable donations subsidize membership grants for low-income artists, and loaned equipment keeps capital expenses and membership dues to a minimum.

Community venue

Through workshops, lectures, demos, social gatherings, art exhibits and other events, WhitPrint provides a venue to the thriving and dynamic community of Eugene-area printmakers.

Resource for nonprofits

WhitPrint studio facilities are available at no or low cost to arts educators and nonprofit organizations for workshops, mentorships, and fundraising events. WhitPrint promotes local arts nonprofits on its website and in the studio, and encourages donations to nonprofits that share their mission.

Enabling art

WhitPrint oversees the printmaking studio and its contents, promoting green materials and techniques, and striving for a non-toxic artist work environment. By managing a well-equipped studio, WhitPrint makes it easier for artists to focus on making art.
