BIG INK barrelled through Eugene the first weekend of June. WhitPrint hosted printmakers Lyell Castonguay and Carand Burnet as they directed the printing of nine huge woodcuts. The weather participated nicely, with 90F breezes turning our courtyard wall into a drying rack of stunning beauty. Inside the studio the A/C kept the pace as our Trayle press got a vigorous workout. Our Facebook page and a nice mention in the Eugene Weekly lured a stream of visitors to watch. Participating printmakers were Craig Hill (Washington), Reinaldo Gil-Zambrano (Idaho/Venezuela), Ryan Horvath (Illinois), Kate Smith (Oregon), Kelli MacConnel (Oregon), Emily Sullivan Smith (Ohio), Elizabeth Dallas (California), Gary Comoglio (California), and John Cadigan (California).
