Locations:
Morning session at Lincoln Gallery, 309 West 4th Ave., Eugene
Afternoon session at Whiteaker Printmakers, 1328 West 2nd Ave, Eugene

About the Workshop

During the morning at the Lincoln Gallery, Debra will guide participants in an exploration of their inner worlds with a focus on the archetype of The Inner Critic. A variety of methods will be offered including guided visualization, movement and sound practices, and dyad work. This portion of the day will conclude with an opportunity to express insights, thoughts and feelings through spontaneous drawing on paper with oil pastels.

We will then move to the nearby Whiteaker Printmakers studio for a brown bag lunch and an afternoon of printmaking with Heather.

Heather will teach participants to create monotype prints, based on imagery created during the exploratory morning segment. Trace and Watercolor Monotype printmaking methods will be discussed and demonstrated. Participants will transfer drawings from plates to paper by hand and by etching press to produce expressive original works of art.

Participants should bring:
Brown Bag Lunch
Yoga mat or blanket
Extra blanket
Cushion or pillow
Water bottle

Studio Hygiene
Although there is no longer a State of Oregon requirement for indoor masking, WhitPrint continues to be considerate of studio users who may have ongoing concerns for reasons of existing health issues or advancing years. Therefore, we ask that all studio members, workshop participants, instructors, and visiting artists have a mask available and use it in crowded indoor spaces. We also ask everyone to be considerate of others and respect their comfort level regarding Covid.
