Social Pressure: Linocut Printmaking

Whiteaker Printmakers is hosting a Social Pressure event on Friday, September 30, at 6:30 PM, during the Whiteaker Last Friday Art Walk.  Social Pressure gives everyone -- experienced or not -- a chance to enjoy creative printmaking!

This Friday we'll be doing linocut printmaking -- a simple technique of printing from a linoleum plate hand-carved with specialized cutting tools.  We have room for 8 people to participate in the printmaking, and slots will fill up on a first come, first served basis.  We will provide all the tools and materials, so just bring an idea in mind for your artwork.  (If you have your own tools, feel free to bring them!)

As usual, all observers and art-walkers are welcome to drop in anytime and enjoy a social evening. Refreshments will be served.

We do ask for a $10 materials fee from those who wish to participate in the printmaking.  Everyone else is welcome to make a small -- and entirely voluntary -- donation to help further WhitPrint's mission to be a resource to the local printmaking community.
